I have a rescue pigeon that lives with my flock. He roosts at night in the coop, forages with the hens, runs- rarely flies. Waits at the gate for me to open it just like the chickens, instead of flying over.
Eats with them, etc etc.
Today, I went to collect the eggs and could not. My pigeon is sitting on them, guarding the nest. Didnt move when I reached in- so I didnt have the heart to take the eggs. It is a male pigeon.
The chickens treat him just like one of them.

So, what do you think I should do? Give him an egg to hatch? (I have no roosters, but have some ordered eggs in the incubator). I wish I could get him a mate, but have not been able to locate one to purchase.

Wow, what a nice situation. You get the joy of having two different kinds of birds without the hassle of taking care of them differently.

I think that's so cool! My neighbour had a pigeon coop over the chicken coop and when we'd visit the chickens the bloody pigeons would fly in our faces
but never land down with the chickens - it was way to flappy over there so I got my own chickens and NO PIGEONS !!

If he's happy now, and found a way to fit in leave him be,
don't complicate things by getting him a mate, enjoy the rarity of this while you have it.
(He must have a nice personality for the chickens to accept him that way.)
Just my thoughts. > I've gotten my chickens at diferent times and I regret upsetting them in anyway
while they reajusted. Now I think I'll just keep things as they are because they all have their "place" and
are settled. Very peaceful.

- so? Pictures maybe?

let me try...

its from my camera phone- hard to get a picture- but here is the pigeon sitting on my hens eggs:
