Pigs, pigs and more PIGS!!!!

So I raise pig to show and they are some of the greatest animals I have ever worked with (besides chickens). They are SO full of personality and spunk, no two are alike!

If any of y'all are doing swine I'd love to hear what you have or any funny stories you might have! (pigs have the knack for being the "problem children" of livestock )




Last year I had the honor of raising a Crossbred gilt named Milkshake, and oh boy was she a handful, sassiest pig I've ever met. She did great at show, got 9th place. and weighed a whooping 276 pounds.







This year I am raising a Hereford barrow named Marsh (who I don't think realizes he's a pig). I got him when he was only 30 pounds (today he's pushing 176 pounds...) and he still believes he can sit on mom's lap...
