This is Titus... I have been trying to figure out what this is for a week or so... It doesn't look like Pox or Favus to me but everywhere I look online thats the only thing I can find... Does anyone have any clue of what it could be and how to treat it? No one else in the flock has it although we have a very small flock now. Only our Two Roosters have rose/ pea combs... The biggest spot on the first pic was alot bigger I dont know if whatever it was has broken off or what but the hole is just a big... It kinda looks like you could squeeze it out... I don't know but it gives me the hebby gebbies and it take ALOT to do that lol... PLEASE HELP!

I would consider a fowl pox of some sort.

Your pictures are slightly out of focus, or not close enough. If they are solid white, I would guess it might be favus, but if they are tan with a dark center, I would say fowl pox. For favus I would use a little miconazole cream or lotrimin daily. Here are pictures and info about fowl pox:

Are those white lice eggs on the comb? Closely inspect your rooster for lice/mites, especially the vent area and head/neck area. Also, can you post a photo of his feet?

Yeah I will try to get some pics of his feet... He had leg surgery a few years ago... His legs have always looked like he could have the start of scaly leg mites since that surgery but have never changed past having the initial look of having the raised scale look .. No growths or weird crusts on his feet... But the tips of a couple of his toes are gone now ... But his surgery left him with a limp so I'm sure if that could be inflation, blood flow issues, frostbite, etc... There is a pin stuck that the vet couldn't get removed that causes some issues..

His comb hasn't changed .. Well it looks somewhat better but not worse... No it's not lice eggs... It reminds me of a zit but the big spot looks like it actually growing out of the comb and could be squeezed out ...

I will have to have my husband catch him he isn't a very nice Roo and so I stay far away cause he will come after me and he has giant spurs and blood thirst for humans lol ..

Yes, if they are solid white it looks like favus. The more compact comb styles (pea, rose, etc) seem more prone to favus than single combs. My easter egger has this problem on and off, I think the deep wrinkles in the comb are more suitable for the fungus to grow.

this is zelda.
is this favus? would she stop laying as a result of the favus?
or might her not laying be more attributable to the heat wave?
if we have new hens, we should keep them apart until it clears up, right?
thanks in advance for any advice
