pine straw from yard???

Has any one ever used pine straw fom the yard in their duck coop.? I live in the south and have several pine trees in my yard. Thanks Anne

Ive used it for chickens. It isn't absorbent but it makes a good ground cover, keeping your confined birds out of the mud and muck.
