Pinioning an older bird

Hi I am getting 3 guinea fowl on Sunday and they are 4 weeks old, But i have not got a lot of space of my own (just a tiny bit less than a quarter of an acre) so i dont really want them to go far so i dont know if it is safe to pinion a 4 week old keet or not i know it probably not the safest thing to do, But all i wanted to know is if you can do it and HOW do you do it

I've only done this with baby birds & there is a large amount of blood. I've never done a guinea tho. I used cable cutters.
