Pink egg genetics?

I have no clue about genetics but my EE hens who lay blueish eggs bread with my RIR roo and their offspring lay pink eggs.

McSpin , I'm afraid I did not communicate my thoughts well . I've read a few posts about purple eggs , some coming from EE crosses . I hope if that occurs in your chickens you research the color of the shell inside and out . It [edt to say : " it " means purple eggs] appears to be possibly connected with those lightly tinted egg layers that sometimes produce the pink eggs . I'm very curious about why those unusual colors occur and if the color goes farther than the surface .
I'm still watching this thread in hopes that those who have published that all eggs are either blue or white will explain this [ your eggs as pictured ] . I assumed that in the " IC Chickens " breed reference chart the term '' tinted egg " referred to the outer shell only . Now I'm wondering if "tint " can extend through a white egg shell and the researchers still refer to it as a white egg . Inspite of being a little long in the tooth I'm very new to all of this .
And I add an apology for so many questioning posts that are so poorly written .

Now I see what you were saying. Yes, if plum happens to occur, I'll definitely be checking and taking photos.

Now I'm wondering if "tint " can extend through a white egg shell and the researchers still refer to it as a white egg .

If that's the case, I'd love to hear the logic behind that one.

Would you guys consider the middle egg to be pink, it's really light and pink next to a white or brown. Comes from my gold-laced wyandotte.

The others are from left to right
maran, RIR, GLW, last two are easter eggers

It looks pinkish to me. I'd be more interested in seeing the inside of it with the membrane removed. I'm very curious whether others are seeing the color run all the way through the shell thickness.
