I have noticed recently that two of my older hens, roughly 2 1/2 -3 years old, have some pink coloring between their toes and one has some of the pink coloring up her legs a bit. My roo who also has yellow legs has some pink showing too on his legs. Is this normal? I have never noticed it before and on one of the older Leghorns is is becoming more pronounced.

Anything to worry about?

Thanks in advance!

Their legs will turn a bit pink or red from hormones, particularly the roos, but also the hens. Scaly leg mites is another possibility, though. If the leg scales are raised, you might want to smother the mites with vaseline or Pam or some other greasy substance.
