Well we finally got a pip!

It's now day 24 and 1/2 and about 7 hours ago our chick finally broke through the shell. It had been rocking since yesterday. It looks ok, I can see the little beak through the hole and it is opening it's mouth as if it is chirping but it makes absolutely no sound. It doesn't seem to be in any distress, just wondering if this is normal to have such a quiet peeper? We are all quiet excited about this little one, I hope that there is nothing wrong with it. There are only 3 others and there is no sign of anything from them.

Yes, it's breathing and looks like it's just hangin' out if you know what I mean. It's nibbling on the outer white membrane that is papery and it responds to my voice. It look like it's trying to talk back to me...but no sound! I sure hope it's not the only one to hatch, it will be so lonely until I get another batch going.
