Hi there,

I am incubating quail eggs and it is day 18 today. I woke up in the morning to find 2 have externally pipped however one has the pip facing downwards. It is still in the fat end however the pip is facing the bottom of the incubator. Should I turn it or could that cause the chick to be shrink rapped?

It should be fine, but if you open the incubator to quickly turn it add more water to up your humidity.

It’s fine, they zip open the egg just like a chicken.
