piping a reall hard egg shell

My hens were laying soft shells once she week. So I added some calcium to their feed. Now I have a 22 day old egg that has pip'ed once. But the shell is SO hard. I can't even candle it. It's too thick and no light gets through it. Is this gonna be a problem or will it just be a longer hatching period?
