I've got one chick who pipped at the wrong end. He was going pretty good actually. He wasn't able to get himself out though and was getting really tired from struggling. Dad helped him out today while I was at school. Is there anything I can do for him? He is exausted and not moving much. Do I just let him be or do anything to save him? Also, 3 of the others who have hatched were pecking at him and standing on him. We made the decision to get the other 3 out into the brooder (I know not to open the inubator but we were really quick and it was the best thing I could do for him).

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Edited to add it's only day 20 but already have 5 out as well as more hatching.

how long has it been since he hatched? I would say to just let him be, preferably in a quiet warm place. I like to keep my incubator covered since bright lights seem to make for energetic chicks. a darkened environment keeps them quiet and calm and I've found that they gain post hatch strength faster that way. In nature, it would be pretty dark under a broody too. consider feeding little drops of a electrolyte mix formulated for chicks if he doesn't perk up, but it's likely that he will once the exhaustion from making an unconventional hatch passes.

Thank you for the advice.
He pipped over 24 hours ago. Dad would've helped him out about lunch time today so about 8 hours ago. He is in the incubator with one over chick and more hatching. The other chick is still buggered too but is moving around a bit. The other 3 chicks hatched last night so were very active. Now that they have been moved out its a lot calmer in there. Hopefully without the other chicks harrasing him he should recover soon.

The incubator has a styraphone (not spelt correctly sorry) lid on it so it is fairly dark. The lid is also tinted so that helps a fair amount too.
