Pipping...How long can this take

I have often seen chicks pip and take 10 or more hours to start zipping.

When I first started incubating this really bothered me. I haven't had problems in general but everytime I have a chick that pips and takes a little longer to zip it drives me nuts. I don't intervene but its hard not to.

Does anyone have some timeline advice on how long this process CAN take?

Such a horrible waiting game. I wait 24 hours. Usually by then they get a little further in the process.

Ive had 2 eggs that I swear were trying to go as slow as possible..just to cause me stress...and it took them a whole 3 days to get out!
