It's fine! I always have an "early bird" when I hatch! Be sure to keep us updated on your hatch and we love to see pictures of new babies!!!I’ve got a chick who has started pipping on day 19. Will it be ok?

Great, thanksYes sometimes they pip early but it can take up to 48 hours for it to start hatching all the way. Its best to not interfere at all until 48 hours has gone by. If you do have to (witch i doubt you will) just get a small amount started. After an egg pips is when it learns to breath air, absorbs the yolk, and the veins dry up and the rest of the blood gets absorbed. It looks all normal, you probably just got an early bloomer. Happens sometimes. It’ll be ok but it’ll probably take a while to hatch. It might have a big bump on its underside when it comes out. Thats ok thats the yolk that’ll finish getting absorbed usually within a few hours of hat h if not before. Good luck with your hatch!

They’re supposed to be hatching Sunday/Monday. I will definitely post some pictures when the chicks are outIt's fine! I always have an "early bird" when I hatch! Be sure to keep us updated on your hatch and we love to see pictures of new babies!!!![]()

I’ve got six eggs in the incubator. They’re mixed breeds from my own chickens (I’ve attached pictures of them) the brooder is ready to go.How exciting! What and how many are you hatching? Get your brooder setup now if you haven't already!

Yes it takes a good amount out of them to pip so it could take up to 48 hours to start hatching and during the wait time they’re usually silent because they’re resting, getting readyGreat, thanks![]()
I guess now it’s time to go and find something else to do. I’ve been sat watching the eggs since the morning
Is it normal to not hear any peeping?
