Pipping?

my duck has internally pipped (i hope i used that word correctly). I can see it moving in the air sac but i havent heard any noise out of it. its moving but no chirping at all. is this bad?

Hi,

Yes you used that word correctly. Duckling can take up to 12 hours to hatch or externally pip. How long has it been trying to externally pip? It takes alot of energy for a duckling to hatch, once they have reached the air sack, they will most likely 'take a break' then try and crack through the shell. I wouldn't worry too much

its only been in the air sac for about a day and its moving non stop
