pipping ?

Up to 24 hours is normal from pip to zip. But you shouldn't interfere until at least 30+ hours, and even then not unless the chick is obviously shrink-wrapped, or very distressed and beginning to sound weak or frail.

Hi and welcome to BYC I am glad you could join us. Please feel free to make yourself at home, i usually have internal pips on 18 day and then on day 19-21 I have chicks hatching but that can depend on humidity and temps.

Thanks I've got three pips two I can see the chicks but no progress in the last few hours temps been holding around 100 and humidity just over 70 ill leave them be and check on them first thing in the am

Me, too! I have 4 eggs in the incubator. All 4 had external pipi this morning, by now 3 have hatched, one has made the hole bigger, but not zipped yet. I guess i will leave it over night...want to help so badly! This is my first hatch.... Hope yours are doing well!

Mine were still the same this morning and at lunch but when I got home they were out and fine got two more doing the same thing now

If you don't see any progress within 24 hours you may need to provide the chicks with some assistance.

Thanks that's what I've been doing took tweezers and helped them out I've only had to help 2 I've got chicks still hatching after 3 days they look pretty healthy temp problem I assume
