Pita Pinta - should I get one ?

I have been reading about Pita Pinta chickens and debating whether to get some. Can anyone share their experience? Are they friendly and worth getting

I wish I knew, I have ordered medley shipped eggs, and always one PP egg, and that would be the one that did not hatch.

I got Reds and Blacks last Summer. Both very friendly(with no special handling while young). I would say the Reds are slightly more friendly than the Blacks. The Blacks seemed to mature a little quicker, but the Reds are a little bigger. Can't comment on the laying yet, as they weren't quite mature enough when it got cold here and the days short. I did get a pullet egg the other day, which I think came from one of them, so they may start to fire up.
