He's made it thru
He got it running again & we need to replace some parts on the body.We need a hood, front side panel, head light assembly & grill. I know probably cost more online (maybe not?) He works 6 days a week 12 hrs a day & he has no time to get them.I'm stuck here without a ride, so I can't take care of it.
Can any of yall reccomend a place? I would appreciate it. Thanks, Miriam

For used parts... since it is a mid 90's truck, if you have a local "pull-a-part" maybe you can call them to see if they have any of your truck in stock and you can go "pull a part" and they will sell you that part for not a bad price. Of course it won't be new or anything. Other than that.

Good luck.

Several years ago, we needed a new transmission for a 92 Explorer. All of the local sources had them for around $700 on up with a gazillion miles on them and no guarantee.

So I went online and performed a search. I found out that many of the junkyards are part of online networks that help you to locate the parts that you need and help the junkyards sell more stuff!

Anyway, I found one in Downstate NY for $350 with less mileage and the shipping was around $80 I think. They delivered it in a tractor trailer. It was in a wooden crate. I don't remember which online junkyard network that I used but in doing a search on Google, I found these. The services are free and you may get multiple emails back as everybody reports what they have available back to you.

Cool, thanks for the links, MartianChick. I'll check them out.
Thank you also silkiechicken, when my hubby did have some time off,he's gone over to one but those trucks are hard to locate here. I have a hard time finding a way over there.
It' a good old truck & does very good on mileage. Most importantly, it's PAID OFF, LOL.
