I know that this has been asked quite a few times;but I'm always learning about my chickens.I have 5 chickens that I recieved last year at Easter and they have been a blessing.I got 5 sex links and 1 red production hens that are about 5 weeks old.I have put them in a run with my adult hens in a run of their own.Thet have housing and they have a heat lamp and seem to be doing great.Question is when can I put them in with the adults.Any help would be appreciated.

Don't try and integrate them until they are approx. the same size as the adults - generally around 4 to 5 months of age. Even at that age I tend to introduce them in increments. First I let them free range in the yard at the same time (neutral territory), then I open an access between the two runs and see how that goes. The adult hens can be very, very hard on newcomers and they need to be old enough to withstand the initiation. Good luck!
