I started saving eggs from my hatchery Silkie pen in hopes there is someone out there looking for a utility Silkie. The pen has a selection of Meyer, Privett and McMurray parents; birds are true Silkie size, all with correct toe count, a good to acceptable comb, reasonably dark skin, many have excellent blue ears, type is reasonable and crest size is average to small. Small beige eggs. These birds do great outdoors, they interact well with other breeds, go broody and are successful mothers. Exactly what you want in a utility Silkie. $15 for a dozen eggs, pickup or I can ship to you for $15 - $25.
