I have a couple nice Elder Berry bushes producing a lot of fruit. The chickens come from all over the yard to get their fill before going back to their respective ranges. The same clump has a fence that confines a broody hen with chicks to the clump during day. Other birds slip in to feed from outside the fence. I am going to seriously expand the patch so in the coming years the chickens can eat a lot more. The plants have been giving fruit for almost a month each year.
