Hi!
I'm wanting to use plastic netting to make the gates in my chicken runs. Reason is, I'm running low on funds and the project has already been committed to by other free laborers, so I must continue.

Predators are not a problem in my area. So, these gates would only be to keep chickens in.

The ends of the netting would be secured to the fence post (on one end), and a 2X4 (on the other). The 2x4 would be what attaches to the rest of the fence. So, it would be flexible and easy-to-use.

Your thoughts?
Thanks!

No predators? I wouldn't bet on it.
Might be fine for a run, but I'd not use it in coop.

I appreciate the reply, thanks.

Yes, it's just for the runs. The runs are 3000 sq.ft each, times two. The gates would be a fair distance form the coops. And our lovable and chicken-friendly dogs have kept predators away from the area for years now.
