Plastic vs tarp

I am wanting to remove the tarp and it needs to be replaced this winter. I'm thinking of putting clear plastic to give more light but am wondering is there a recommended thickness of the plastic I should purchase?I was thinking the plastic would allow more light in the tart. Thoughts, suggestions or ideas?

I'd go with any gardening plastic. It's thick enough to withstand the elements to a point, but thin enough to let light through.

I would do another Tarp. A GOOD tarp. There are many crappy ones but spend the $$ and get a good one. That way it will be in use for a long time and in the Summer provide shade.
All the plastic that I have seen doesn't hold up to outside weather for long. And in the Summer will add too much sun.

You can buy clear tarps online, but they are pricey.
You could look for 6 or 8 mil utility plastic at the hardware store.

Call me crazy but i use mesh tarps from harbor freight and have had great luck so far
