I was at the farm/home store the other day to get some chick grit and they were all out. I looked to see if they had any parakeet grit and they did not. I ended up getting some playsand. My babies are a week old today and have been eating it along with their food. I wanted to make sure they had some sort of grit because their brooder is in the garage and there are bugs available for the catching. Is playsand gritty enough for their age right now?? I had nothing to compare the granule size to since there wasn't a bag of chick grit.
