please advise - what's your favorite candler available commercially?

Wanting to buy a candler. I know I could make one but don't want to deal with it. Wondered whether anyone has found something available commercially that works great?

Well the cool light ones I have heard are pretty good. I just use an LED flashlight (think mini maglight size) and hold it up to the large end of the egg in a dark room. Works great. I have never bothered with the boxes and other gizmos some people use.....

Hate to say it, but just get on EBAY and start your search. We bought one from a "store" on there. It is a simple thing and we have had it for a couple of years. Be sure to get a few bulbs with your order.

I love the looks of the new LED OvaView candlers on Brinsea's website. Never used one, but I am sure they are great!

I love old slide projectors myself. Never had a commercial candler. I've seen some very expensive ones that are probably like my slide projectors!

This probable won't help but my favorite candler is my hand and a REALLY good flashlight!

I just use a small bright LED flashlight. Hold the egg in my hand and shine the light down into the egg from the top.

I just sent for one from Ebay. It is a small LED flashlight. I'll let you all know if I like it better than my present candler.

I bought a spotlight from Walmart for around $18 ? It has LED on the bottom, and regular bulb on the top. The kicker is, its rechargable. And the egg fits perfect on the LED bottom part... Its the best one I found...
I'll try to find a picture of one online.
