My 8 week old leghorn walked straight into my pond and drowned before we were able to rescue her: please clear your ponds of leaves and keep an eye on your babes I feel so badly

I heard of a duck hatching out a clutch of chicken eggs and marching them straight into a pond. You definitely have to be aware of the dangers on your property

Thank you, all . I definitely am watching closer. We were at my parents house when it happened so I realize it was something that wasn’t entirely our fault but it still makes me sad.
