Please calm me down, my northern friends

Ok...are you ready to laugh? I live in Phoenix. In talking to my cousin this week....remember, Phoenix, the high has still been around 70 (or not to far below)....I told her that from a chicken's view it never gets cold here. Can you guess (just try) what she said? With great sincerity, meaning every word and sounding a little confused by the idea ... It's not cold? BRRRR..... clearly SHE was cold!

they'reHISchickens :

I think they will be fine so long as there are no bad drafts. Ours are surviving nicely in the snow and cold. That's why they have feathers. I would definitely gather up your pretzel cans and make some water heaters, though! Search for the directions on here:) Of course, if you plan on providing warm water morning, noon and night, you can weather the storm without them.

You can find how to make the water heaters on here. Search cookie tin water heaters. I made some myself and actually just leave them in the coop to generate heat. It works well. They took about 10 minutes to make and less than $5. Could be free if you have the stuff on hand.

Oh I am feeling your pain CityGirlintheCountry!
