I have been dealing with whatever eye Infection this is since I got this Hen last weekend.

A little back story:
I received 10 hens last weekend from an elderly couple, She could no longer keep them due to her husbands Alzheimer's worsening, as he was the one to care for them.

I am unaware as to how they were kept, but the pictures I was sent looks like an enclosed aviary..

This is the ONLY Hen that has been sick.. I have watched them closely and none of the other ones are showing any sort of symptoms..

I have been cleaning and rinsing it with saline water and putting Vetericyn antimicrobial pet eye gel on it twice daily..

Does anyone have any tips or advice?? Is it Mycoplasma or conjunctivitis or something else?

Please help me.. I'm at a loss and have no idea what to do..

I'm so sorry to hear this! I think you are doing the best you can! how is your set-up for them? I would make a run and coop for them , if you haven't done that. Make sure you build to the right size for 10 hens. 🄰 Hopefully others will jump in to help.

If you free range them for a little while they will also love that!

Her eye looks normal, I do see there’s a bit of a scar underneath it and besides it it’s a little swollen, it doesn’t look like a eye infection maybe under her eye there is but it looks fairly healed. For when my chickens get eye infection I use polysporin eye drops and I put two drops once a day and then there great after a week. Since her eye looks good it’s probably under it, I’d use polysporin or Vaseline if I was in your shoes. I wish you good luck
