My bantam rooster, Peanut, just started scratching one side of his head then the other. He then uses his beak to scratch at his chest, as high as he can get. Then he falls down onto his back as though in convulsions.
I tried scratching his head / upper neck for him - I looked for broken skin, parasites, I even tried putting cold water on his waddles and comb since it's so hot today and he's panting.
He does feel hot. Whether that's from something wrong or the heat I don't know. Nothing I can do seems to help him. He's a pet and will let me pick him up and everything.
Someone please help me! I love this little guy and can't stand to see him this way!
