Kassy, Just found your post. Sorry about the hen, will be interested in necropsy. Do you think the initial "yellow diarrhea" was an egg breaking? I'm sure you didn't bake her.

Well I've down the necropsy and on the first cut into the belly hit really thick yolk.. as well as found the egg immediately.. not a huge egg but bigger then her normal ones.. I could post pictures.. but don't wanna gross anyone out.. LOL

Well I opened her up and found lots of yolk, no shell, and found the egg that was shelled and way to high in the duct work.. LOL posting to the forum my findings for review..

Also, the convulsions are reflexive. This is what happened when our old hen died; I don't think its specific to egg-binding or pain.
