I have a couple of hens that are picking/plucking each other,it seems to be since my rooster died(I will get another just not right now) I have been reading about peepers/blinders and I was wondering if someone could help answer a few questions....

Where do I buy pinless peepers??

Will my hens have trouble finding their food or roosts with them on??

How long should I have them wear them??

I don't know about the pinless peepers; I know someone has posted pix of their hens on here wearing them. Sorry about the loss of your roo; could your hens be still stressed from that? Are they getting enough protein? If you're feeding layer feed, try upping the protein content by buying a bag of chick starter, or feeding them some scrambled eggs & yogurt for treats. Do they have plenty of room and space to get away from each other?

they are probably just pecking each other to try to get leadership of the flock a roo will sort that out

I agree with the poster above, since your Roo has died they are just establishing the pecking order without him.

Watch them for a while and they should stop it. Unless they are doing real damage, let them sort it out. It is natural to them.
