I have two geese that ganged up and attacked another one today and the goose that was attacked not only has a bloody bill and wings, but is foaming at the eyes and cannot see. They won't leave him alone so I seperated them, which I know is not a good idea, but he is helpless not being able to see and I am afraid they will kill him. Anyone have any idea what is going on?!?! Or what I should do until I can get him to the vet? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Sounds like males attacking eachother.

Clean him up a little, and then keep him seperate and see how he is in the morning. I had a male get beat up pretty bad this spring. Ugh. Its a pain.

Anyway, just clean him up, keep him seperate, and he should be fine.

I would take the injured goose in the house if possible and keep him in a warm, dark, quiet place with plenty of water and a little food. I'm not quite sure why he would be foaming at the eyes. Perhaps you could clean them with a warm damp cloth, then let him rest for awhile.

So my husband is not going to let him in the house...will he be okay in an extra large dog crate with an insulated dog house with straw outside all night? Don't know if they are smart enough to go in where they will be warm. But I did clean up the blood earlier and wiped the foam away and it is not quite as bad. Thank you for your help!
