Please help! I don’t know what’s wrong with her!

My son’s hen “Chocolate” is breathing funny. She opens her beak a little and slightly gasps for air. She has diarrhea that’s yellow and is walking VERY SLOW. I’m attaching a video and pics for reference. I picked her up and gave her pellets soaked in water and tried to give her some nutrition but she’s not wanting to do anything but lay in the corner. What is wrong with her?

The poop looks like egg material from the picture. It looks eggy not foamy. I can't zoom in as far as I'd like. It's possible she had an egg break inside her or she isn't making good shells on her eggs.

When was the last time she laid an egg?

She could also be egg bound. You may need to put on a glove and feel inside her vent for broken shell or possibly an egg. I would gently feel her abdomen to see if you can feel an egg.

I would start giving her calcium. Calcium citrate with vitamin D is best but any you have on hand will help. Open her beak and shove it in to make sure she gets it in.

If an egg did break inside her she may still have some shell pieces inside her.

Also, feel her underside to see if there is any swelling like a water balloon or a firmness. That may indicate other problems.

Agree with the above. To give the calcium pull on her waddles (this is force her to open her beak) pop the tablet in her beak and let go of the waddles and she should swallow it!
