Please help- I only have one egg left!

My Buff Orpington hen went broody several weeks ago. I gave her 6 fertile eggs to sit on, and there is only one left. Today is day 23 of incubation, and I am getting worried that the chick won't hatch - I have candled the egg and I know that there is a growing chick inside, so I don't know why it isn't hatching. Please help!! What is the latest an egg can go before I should assume the chick is dead? Thanks!

Don't try to help by cracking the shell. If it doesn't hatch soon, then it is either dead or didn't have the stamina to hatch.
