I was offered this fine fellow in exchange for a trade of one of my female blue wheaten pullets. I cannot find a lot of information on Brown Red Roos and do not have a lot of time as of late to go to poultry shows and talk to other fellow enthusiasts, breeders, hobbyist etc.I would like to have someone's educated opinion. If he is not considered breed standard I will probably end up getting him anyways because my easter eggers need a roo. There is little information on the web about it.
Also I am new to the chicken genetics aka chicken math (though I used to breed rare cichlids so I understand genetics but sold my aquarium business to become a farmer lol) so I put a blue True Ameraucana hen in with my blue wheatens until I could get a bbs splash, black, blue rooster (which I have now as of this weekend WHOO HOO) and now I have these chicks that are red with black. I can attach a picture for anyone who may be able to help me know WHAT I did and what these guys will turn out to be. I am assuming they won't be a standard apa accepted Ameraucana but they do have Ameraucana parents from reputable breeders. Rookie Mistake on my part I didn't know that blue was a diluted black and two blues can make a black but I do now! And better the hard way than no way at all I guess!
Here is the rooster I want to confirm is a brown red. I have not seen brown reds often and when I do they are hens. My curiousity was peeked by the hen in the background though its a small chicken keeper who keeps chickens specifically for a variety of colors they have olive eggers, ameraucana's cream leg bars, marans etc so they have a variety which they do not hatch they purchase chicks from reliable breeders and keep a variety of breeds for the love of keeping chickens. The reason they are getting looking for a home for him is because they bought six ameraucana chicks 3 turned out to be hens the other 3 roosters and they just don't need more than one or two roosters.

Anyhoo your help would be greatly appreciated .
And here is the chick from the blue hen and blue wheaten ameraucana rooster. For now his or her name is The Riddler. I am assuming it will be some sort of splash type color which won't be recognized as an ameraucana because its not a breed standard color.
