I went to bed last night with the temp being 100 degrees (had held this way all day). Through the night, I got up several times only to see the temp keep dropping. Down to 96 degrees. I have the knob turned all the way to increase the temp with no results. I have moved the incubator to a different room thinking the temperature change in the room could have caused the problem. We use wood heat at night and I'm guessing when the fire went out the temps dropped in the incubator. My question is this: this was the first night with my eggs in the bator. Will them temp drop hurt them if I get it back up to where it needs to be or am I wasting my time now for the next 20 days?

What kind of incubator? Fan? Still air? Auto turner?

And yes, they will be fine if you can get a bit more stable.

I have a hovabator 1602N. It is a syrofoam one. It was still air, but I added a fan. I have moved the incubator to the room with the fireplace, because where I had it sitting, it got down to 93.9. It is steadily coming back up, so I will just have to watch and make sure it doesn't get too hot now. Thank you all so much.
