Ok, a couple days ago, I went out to check the chicken because it was very hot that day. I went into the coop and I saw the one rooster laying back on his hocks, wings spread from his body, panting. I brought him in and gave him water, sprayed him down, and turned on the fan. He cooled off, but wasn`t walking. We kept him in for a couple days, but he would eat or drink on his own, you had to hold it for him, and he wasn`t holding his head up most of the time. He just kinda layed there limp until you moved him, then he would stand up and poop. He wasn`t holding his wings right either, and his tail is down. He was starting to hold his head up again and eat on his own, then my father made me put him outside. Now, a couple days later, he`s getting worse. His comb is starting to turn black at the tips, it was like that the first time we brought him in but it went away. And now he won`t even hold his eyes open, even when he`s standing. He seems to be getting weaker and weaker, and he has diarrhea. I`ve researched a lot of poultry diseases, but none of then seem to fit. We assumed it was heat stroke, but now I`m not sure, everything I`ve looked up on it with chickens says it goes away in a few days. I don`t want to cull him because he`s my sister`s favorite, so does anyone have any idea what`s wrong with him?

The other rooster was doing something similar to this a week before, but not to that extreme. He would just shake and lay down, but he seemed to get better. But now that I look at him today, he`s laying down a lot more.

Heat is definitely hard on chickens, can result in death. Purple tips on comb can be a number of things, can represent circulatory/heart issues. How hot was temperature today? If it is heat stroke/stress,you have to cool him down immediately(drop his body temp). What i always due for heat stress is submerge chicken up to neck in COOL(NOT COLD)water. This immediately drops body temp. Chickens have no sweat glands, they rely on their respiratory system to cool themselves down, that is why they pant, spread wings. Normal body temp for chickens is 104-107 degrees Fahrenheit when body temp reaches anything from 113 degrees and up,chickens are in immediate danger.
