PLEASE HELP!

A moscovy duck thought our bushes would be a great maternity ward. Unfortunately a raccoon got to all 14 eggs, except ONE, this one. I have had it in a incubator for about 4 weeks. I candled it today and the air sac is HUGE, and on one side of the egg a dark area seems to go all the way to the bottom. I took the pictures holding the big end of the egg to a flashlight. I turned it clockwise but the bottom stayed on the flashlight at all times. There is definite movement in the egg, and has been for a while. Although it may break my heart...is there something wrong with my whittle guy??

But I can feel and see the duckling moving around? Do you mean it wont hatch? Moscovy ducks have an incubation period of 35 days.

If you can see movement, it's definitely still alive. When you see it moving, are you holding the egg still and watching it move independently?

I've never hatched ducks before, but from what you've described, it sounds like things are perfectly normal. I would bump up the humidity now because I bet it'll hatch soon. It looks about ready from those pictures.

Yes, it moves independently and a lot right now. If I hold the egg still in my hand, I can feel it moving all around.

Thank you for your input!! :)

Yep, sounds like it's doing fantastic then. Because it is getting close to the end, it would be a really good idea to not fuss with it so much any more so it can get into position to hatch. I believe that ducks also need really high humidity at lockdown, so make sure you've got your humidity way up in there. Please update when she/he hatches! What an exciting story.

Thank you everyone... I am not going to fuss with it anymore. I will have a video of it when/if it hatches. Fingers crossed!

Here is a video of the egg being candled. What do you guys think? I don't know what the pinkish pimple looking thing it. Also, I am not tapping on the egg as hard as it sounds, promise. I am in the laundry room and it echos really bad.

I'd love any advice good or bad....
