I hatched this about 10-12 weeks ago from my regular stock which consists of the normal "wilds", a silver, lots of whites, darth vaders (I think) and white/silver splash combos. How I got this one, I'll never know but I'd love to make more! It's hard to tell from the pics because my camera AND the photographer (ie me) are lousy, but it is not reddish at all - that's because I had the incandescent bulb setting on my camera. It is tan, white, and black speckly. What do you think?

These were taken today:

These were taken a week or two ago with the incandescent setting - same bird:

I ended up with one just like that from my last hatch...I'd love to know what it is too!

To me it looks like a red breasted hen.. But it also looks like she has some pearl type markings too..

Im not totally sure though.. Im kind of a beginner.. But that is what she looks like to me..

It is a darth vader hen. A darth vader is aka golden redbreast.

Actually, according to this site, it looks like it may just be normal redbreasted. There are many pictures on that site of redbreasted variations.

I checked out that site and while it kinda looks like the darth vader hens, it's more barred. Possible though because I have darth vader males. Definitely not a rose breasted hen. There are others from the same hatch though that are so thanks for sending the link!
