Thank you, all! We have contacted the farmer we got them from and he is happy to do an exchange for us. Barred pullets should be dark, right? And I'm looking for little to no comb growth? Here's hoping I pick'em right this time!!

I have one each 12 week old Barred rock and Cuckoo Marans, both pullets, and they both had a comb since they were about 3-4 weeks old. It just can't be pink/red. Not until they are about 15 weeks old or so I think.
They do grow a comb quite early compared to other breeds.

laverne is a boy and hazel and leeli have wyandotte combs not pea combs

In other words rose combs, I say Pea/rose same concept never heard of a Wyandotte Comb in general
