Hi guys,

I need help!! I have 3 peahens and 1 peacock in my pen. They have started to pay eggs over a month ago but none of them wants to sit on them!! I collected 2/3 of eggs for my incubator but remaining eggs just lay there.. :(

Thank you!!

*shrug* Not all chickens are broody, not all peahens are either. They also may not be "done" collecting the amount they want to be broody on, but don't count on it.

Just wondering what kind of help you were asking for in your original post?
If you can already handle all of the eggs you are getting?

Just wanted to edit because this post sounded a bit unfriendly which is not at all my intention!
I am genuinely wondering what type of advice or help you are looking for, as it is not clear from your post.

I wouldn't try to hatch them past 14 days and peafowl eggs start to "go bad" for hatching between 7 and 10 days. Less chance of success after that.

Not everyone is truthful. Maybe that is why they gave or sold them to you as they wouldn't set on their nests. My daughter also has two that won't set on a nest either.

Sometimes it depends on the pen setup and how confortable the hens is. I have had hens that sat on eggs one year and not the next, to go on and sit the third year. I have a hen that is 7 now that has never gone broody in the past and is the only one sitting on eggs this year go figure.
