I am sorry i do not know but i have a chick right now with the same thing and he is fine
Mine is 3 days old now and is acting perfectly normal

This one seems ok so far... We already lost one in shipment.... I don't want to lose anymore!

Now that i look closer it does look like the umbilical cord.
It does not look like anything to worry about though i have a chick with a butt alot worse than that and it is fine also.
