Please help... one of our chickens is upset.

Raccoons killed two of our chickens. The one is a little pullet, and her only friend was one of the ones that got killed. We have her in the house, but she is looking and clucking for her friend. When she's outside, she runs around looking, and when she's inside, she's running around looking for a place to roost and is all unsettled. What should we do? please help.

Have you tried holding her to settle her down? Outside I'm afraid she's going to need time to realize her friend is gone and try to make new friends.

First off sorry for your loss. I have 15 chickens and 2 of them are the best little buddies, they depend on each other for everything, they are little loners. It may take time but I can understand cause if one of my two died the other would be completely lost. Good luck
