Please help- Roo Question

Hi,
Can I keep 2 Coturnix roo's with 9 hens in a hutch that is 13 sq. feet? I suspect they might fight if confined to a small area, but I hope this is enough room.

What kind of quail are they? It sounds a little tight.

the minimum is 1 sq foot / bird, but I would double that just for love.

I would say thats fine I keep a 10 to 2 ratio


my pens are 24"w X 36" by 10"H have had them like that for years and no problem with fighting or pecking they seem very Happy and lay lots of fertile eggs that my 2 cents

I have a flight pen that is 12 x 32 x 6 tall and I keep upwards of 500 quail of all sexs in there with no problems.

Those numbers, sexes ratios, and pen dimensions are fine. you souldnt have any troubles...

Agree just dont put anymore roos in there or they'll star fighting.
