After a few days of my chick, Sprinkles, not eating as much as usual I realized she was all puffed up, head tucked in & tail down. Very sluggish as well. I thought it was sour crop but her crop so I removed her from the flock & took her inside. But in the morning her crop was normal. Then, the white runny poop came. More pasty actually. So I found it was probably coccidiosis. I put Corid/Amprol liquid in her water immediately. Also sprinkled powdered milk on her food. She seemed better in less than a day! Head up, tail up, cleaning her feathers, singing... I was so happy! Then, this morning (day 2 of Amprol) she is all tucked in & puffed up again & not eating as much. Her crop is HUGE & it was that way this morning. She has no access to food at night, only water. Her right wing is dragging a bit, maybe due to the crop being so big?? It's spread to her right side. I have been giving her plain yogurt & she eats it... a little. I also tried giving her her favorite, boiled egg yolks, mixed with a little water & olive oil. She barely touched it. She will eat normal egg yolks & chick start. I just don't want to make the problem worse!!! Is this maybe because she barely ate for days then when she felt better she ate like a glutton??? Someone please help, I love this little girl. She is the sweetest thing.
