PLEASE ANSWER IF YOU CAN HELP I FEEL LIKE I'M RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!!! He is lethargic and droopy, not eating a lot, not drinking a lot, seems to take deep slow breathes, always laying down, his vent is pasty, toes curl when I pick him up, he has bumblefoot, recently traumatized, the whites of his eyes seemed more red than they should be. I have him separated with electrolytes and food. He only really eats, drinks or poops when I take him out of the crate. He has mostly green poop. He had one poop that was just white liquid. He had one smelly brown poop. He has been I'll for about 2 weeks but he just keeps getting worse. IF YOU CAN DIAGNOSE HIM PLEASE TELL ME!! I can get some medicine in the morning ai just need to know what I need! I'm praying for him, but I can't do much more if I don't know what medicine I need and I can't know that if I don't know what illness he has. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 20221022_183524.jpg 20221022_182301.jpg 20221022_182252.jpg 20221022_182129.jpg 20221022_171330.jpg 20221022_171052.jpg JPEG_20221022_121655_8180526025356126853.jpg 20221022_121638.jpg 20221022_120802.jpg 20221022_120523.jpg 20221022_120030.jpg 20221022_171317.jpg 20221022_183550.jpg

How old is he? Do you have other roosters or cockerels? Have you added any new chickens to your flock recently? His feathers have been picked out, but there may be signs of mites or lice on his skin. Can you examine his skin for any moving tiny bugs? Permethrin spray or dust is effective agains t mites and lice. I would be tempted to worm him with Valbazen or SafeGuard, and treat for possible cocciciosis. Corid (amprollium) liquid or powder is sold at feed stores for cattle, and that is good for chickens to treat coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water as the only source. Is he having any problems
with his balance or walking?

They were on corid for about a week, but today my little brother claimed he saw a pile of red poo in the younger flocks coop. I didn't get the chance to look at it so hopefully it is still there when I get home. They have been eating berries from some kind of weed behind the pen .aking their poop purple. I asked him if it was red and jot purple and he said definitely. I'll continue them on corid and do a water test to see if it's blood. I saw something about the worms or bacteria or whatever it is that causes it can remain in the soil for a year. I'm hoping I don't have to keep them on corid for a year but if I have to, I will. He is a little over a year now. Hatchday is July or June 28 I believe. I do have one other rooster that is the same age and 3 cockerels in the other flock of younger chickens that we got this spring. It looks like he may have vent gleet, we know he has bumblefoot, and I could smell yeast from his mouth so I'm just praying he doesn't have impacted crop or sour crop. I wasn't sure that I could find where his crop was and I didnt have a lot of time to check. I'm going to stop and get some nystatin, athlete's foot cream, and maybe I can check if there is either of those dewormers at TSC. I just feel like that's a lot of medication at once and it might be too much for him. What do you think? I removed his food and water from his crate until I figure out what's going on. There was a decent amount of poop in his crate but it was all green.

SafeGuard horse paste may be more affordable, around $15. Dosage is 0.25 ml per pound of weight given orally, and repeated in 10 days.
