We have 17 BBW turkeys, that are 10 weeks old. We have not lost any, and they are all so happy and healthy, and a lot of fun! We noticed this morning that one turkey did not get up to come greet us, and they always do. The rest of the 16 turkeys did, so upon further examination, her right foot is very swollen and hot to the touch. She is eating and drinking, but not moving around much. If we get her up, she will stand for a bit then find a place to lay down. We put her in a large dog crate in our garage away from everyone, bedded with deep shavings, and put her in a sink with cold water/Epsom salt and betadine. We have done this twice today. She does seem pretty uncomfortable. We soaked her foot for 20 min each time, and she stood the whole time and fell asleep in my arms, but stood without any help. We have not seen her get up on her own today, we pick her up, but will stand if we get her up. I am very sad about this, and I want to do everything I can to help her. This must have happened overnight, because I check on the turkeys about a dozen times a day, and monitor them very closely. I will try to attach two pictures. I don't think it's bumblefoot, as there is not a black spot on the bottom of her foot. I went to Tractor Supply, and they only have injectable antibiotics, and I really am not comfortable with that, and I don't know what these antibiotics treat for. They did not have any powder antibiotics to mix with water. Thank you!

Yep, looks like bumblefoot. Cut the scab off, preferably with a scalpel. Get all the puss out (it will be thick, not like human puss), rinse well with saline, dab dry with paper towel and pack with Neosporin without pain relief, put a piece of gauze over it and wrap with thin strips of VetRap, through the toes and up the ankle. Check for more puss daily and re-dress, should heal up pretty fast.
