Please help with abbreviations

I am still new at the chicken business and BYC is a wonderful place for information. However, in a lot of posts, people use abbreviations when explaining. I know it may be silly, but could you share the abbreviation you use often. I have seen DH, BOSS, and a few others and I have no idea what they mean. I also am still learning the breeds of chickens and when you guys abbreviate the names I am lost. Sorry it is a simple request, but I think it would help us newbees. Thanks

Everyone should follow the rule. Never use initials or abbreviations without having spelled out the word(s) first and putting the initials or acronyms in parenthesis, e.g., the President of the United States (POTUS) is giving his State of the Union speech tonight. He will discuss buff Orpingtons (BO). When POTUS speaks of BO, everyone should applaud.
