Please look at this chick's hip?wing? What to do?

Hello, what should I do for this chick? It's not splayed and I'm not positive she was like this when she got here. The chicks keep running all over the place and these poor little naked necks just seem to fall asleep right in the middle of the brooder. It could have been from a chick zooming over her. What should I do for her? Thanks, in advance, for any ideas.

Is she not using the leg?

We had a brahma like tho, mind she got aorund fine, little Hop never made it and being a large breed like she was I don't think she could've. Maybe trie to tape 2 Q-tips on either side of the leg, so she when she hops she'll have some support so it won't be as painful.

Shes adorable and I hope to here good news, she might end up always like that or she might learn to use it, I think its a hit and run or hit and fail here, sorry..

Well, I think I should post what it was so others can find this if they have this problem. When reading many of the slipped tendon threads, I noticed that lots of people were putting neosporin on their slipped tendons. I assumed that was because there was some kind of injury that caused the slipped tendon so I went back to the brooder to look for my chick's injury. I really couldn't find it but I did see a black crusty thing that I assumed was a scab. I got out the neosporin and put it on that. I then noticed that she like many others in the brooder had huge bits of umbilical still stuck on. This on almost looked like a not. When I looked closer, I could see that the leg was tethered to the umblical. I should have taken pictures for others but wanted to act fast. No one was home with me and i could not see all the way around the leg to be sure but it definitely seemed like this was the problem. I tried to trim some chick fuzz off of her to be sure. Mind you it was 2:30 am and I really needed bifocals which I don't yet own. We've recently rented a farm and my husband is there all the time so it was just me and I was afraid of hurting her especially because I think it would have been great to have one person immobilizing the leg. At any rate, I slipped the nail scissors behind the what felt like umbilical cord wrapped around her leg and cut and didn't the thing pop right off?!? It was as small as thread--black thread and the tiniest little piece but it was preventing her from moving her leg properly. I washed it with a q tip of hydrogen peroxide (not sure if that's best) and put neosporin on it. I know when she got down she ran across the brooder relatively normally. Once she stopped running though she was back to the limp so I don't know it it's still hurting her or if the limp is kind of imprinted on the brain at only four days old but I'm hoping with more neosporin the limp stops soon. Can you believe that craziness?!?
