And today I saw mrs priss ( oldest hen 1.5 years) making her nest and laid her egg today. Well my Dominique laid eggs to do I went and out there eggs in her nest. And what do you know, I come out there and she’s setting on them!!! She is currently sleeping in the eggs right now :)))) reply with thoughts:) ( and I know if she wanted to roost with younger ones, she would cause she is at the top of the pecking order)

How long has she been away from them?
Been away from what? The eggs. She didn’t realize I placed her eggs in her nest until she later went back up and saw them. Later on, sAw her setting on them as well as rotating the eggs. She is currently sleeping on them right now

No the roosters, the eggs may not be fertile escpecially if they were laid within the past few days
