I had a stupid power failure over night. The temp in my incubator dropped steadily to 74 degrees over a two hour period, I managed to get it back up to 84 degrees for about an hour, then my power came back on- and it probably took a little while for my temps at that point to stabilize. I have muscovy eggs in there, around Day 4.

Do you think they will be okay?

Id think they would be fine.. Just a few hours shouldnt do much and as early in the incubation it is .. I wouldnt worry...

I think you are fine. I had a hen off a nest for about 2 hours in 36*. All 4 hatched.

I would think the eggs are fine, you on the other hand will now be a nervous wreck with a long incubation ahead of you.

I would think you would be OK also. I have had hens get off eggs for an hour to eat, poop and socialize in very cold weather, day 7.
I thought she thought she was done.
The eggs were cold to the touch. I was sure they were goners and every one hatched. I candeled at day 14 & everyone was A-OK.
At day 4 I would think it better than day 14.
Good luck and let us know what's going on when you candel.

I dont know about chicken eggs but i had a pigeon get spooked by the hawk and didnt come back for a week. The nest was abondoned for a whole week and when the bird got back they hatched both eggs. So i think you should be fine..
